Joseon Youth Federation
Youth organizations across the country united in the Joseon Youth Federation; under socialist influence the youth movement became linked with the national and social movements.
After the March First Movement, youth associations sprang up everywhere, building strength through lectures, night schools and sports days, and joined in the Joseon Youth Association in 1920. As socialism spread, the youth movement turned to class issues and mass organizing, and in April 1924 youth groups met in Seoul to form the Joseon Youth Federation.
The federation supported labour and peasant movements and helped bring about the Singanhoe, but repression under the Peace Preservation Law curtailed its work.
