Boksin

Baekje royal who led the restoration movement and brought Prince Buyeo Pung back from Wa

Said to be a nephew of King Mu, he raised a restoration army at Juryu Fortress with the monk Dochim after Baekje fell in 660. The movement once recovered some two hundred fortresses and besieged the Tang garrison in Sabi. But in a struggle for power he killed Dochim, and in 663 he was himself killed by Buyeo Pung. Split at the top, the movement collapsed with the defeat at Baekgang that same year.
