King Jinpyeong

Twenty-sixth king of Silla, who added government offices and sought Sui help against Goguryeo

He built up the government with offices such as the Wihwabu (personnel), Jobu (tribute and labour), Seungbu (carriages and horses) and Yebu (rites), and used the era name Geonbok. With Goguryeo raiding the northern border, he had Wongwang write a plea for Sui troops in 608 and sent it to Sui in 611. Having no son, he was succeeded by his eldest daughter Deokman, Queen Seondeok.
