Fifteenth king of Baekje, who welcomed the monk Marananta and adopted Buddhism
In the ninth month of 384 he received the monk Malananta from Eastern Jin in the palace with full honours, and the next year built a temple at Hansan and ordained ten monks. Baekje adopted Buddhism twelve years after Goguryeo, with the royal house leading the way and using it to support royal authority.
