Sin Sung-gyeom

Goryeo founding general who wore Wang Geon's armour at the Battle of Gongsan and died so that his king could escape

In 918, with Hong Yu, Bae Hyeon-gyeong and Bok Ji-gyeom, he overthrew Gung Ye and put Wang Geon on the throne. In 927, when Later Baekje troops surrounded Wang Geon at Dongsu near Gongsan (Palgongsan), he fought and died alongside Kim Rak, and Wang Geon barely escaped.
