Go Heung

Baekje erudite under King Geunchogo who is said to have compiled the history Seogi

Citing an old record, the Samguk sagi says Baekje had kept no written records since its founding until it gained the erudite Go Heung, and only then did it have a "Seogi." The work is lost, and scholars differ on whether Seogi was a book title or simply meant "written records." It is understood alongside King Geunchogo’s consolidation of royal power, when Mahan was absorbed and father-to-son succession took hold.
