Korea Restoration Association

Park Sang-jin organized the Korea Restoration Association in Daegu. Aiming at a republic, it raised war funds and executed pro-Japanese magnates.

Founded at Dalseong Park, Daegu, in July 1915, it had a military structure with Park as commander and Kim Jwa-jin as deputy in charge of Manchuria, and planned a military academy there to train an independence army. It raided tax wagons, collected funds from the wealthy and killed collaborators who refused.

Exposed in 1918, Park and others were executed. Its declared goal of a republic after independence distinguishes it from the royalist Dongnip Uigunbu.
