Singeom

Gyeon Hwon's eldest son, who confined his father at Geumsansa and took the throne, but surrendered to Goryeo after the Battle of Illicheon in 936

In 935 he and his brothers Yanggeom and Yonggeom staged a coup and killed their younger brother Geumgang, to whom Gyeon Hwon had meant to leave the throne. The next year he met the Goryeo army, led by Gyeon Hwon himself, at Illicheon; seeing their old king, Later Baekje commanders defected one after another and he was routed. Pursued to Hwangsan (Nonsan), he surrendered, and Later Baekje came to an end.
